I first met Sumana and Neil through one of my favorite people in the industry, Brittany of Discover Love Studios. I was contracted as the second photographer for their wedding and Brittany brought me along for their engagement session as well. Since then, I’ve seen Sumana and Neil at quite a few weddings that I’ve shot for their friends and family over the years, so we are no strangers to each other at this point.

When Sumana and Neil conceived and started planning their shower (which is a big deal in the Hindu culture), they immediately reached out to Brittany to check her availability. Unfortunately, Brittany was already booked but I had the day free so she sent this lovely couple my way. I gladly accepted, as these two folks rank among some of my favorites from my career.

It was so awesome to see their families again, hang out with their friends and be treated as a guest. One thing I can say about these folks is that they won’t let me work without ensuring I’ve been fed. So I got to enjoy amazing food, awesome company and still got paid to document this?? If you guys aren’t jealous of my job yet, you should be!
