Intimate South Charlotte Wedding With Personalized Touches
/When Bonny reached out...kinda last minute, as that is admittedly her style...I was super excited to chat with them. Bonny is so sweet and fun and down to earth that she was so easy to converse with and relate to. She and Mariano live in San Diego, but Bonny's a local girl, so they planned their wedding here in Charlotte at their family's church and Uncle's home.
In true style of Bonny and Mariano, this wedding was not an over the top event. It was a beautiful ceremony with the closest of family and friends present to witness the shared love. There was a laid back reception at Bonny's Uncle's home which was more than I could have envisioned in my head. Apparently, this Uncle knows how to host an event!! His garage was all set up for perfection. Everyone was super welcoming and warm. They had a blast getting to know each other and merging families. This was one event for the books. I learned a bit of Salsa dance, spoke a bit of Spanish and at the very best coleslaw I've ever had.
But the highlight of this day was Bonny and Mariano. They are sooo true to themselves and I absolutely love it. They were completely open and free and we had such a good time taking photos. There's a special addition in here as well....we made a pit stop to Bonny's Grandfather's grave to take a couple portraits. Her grandpa used to always ask her how many boyfriends she had and it used to make her giggle like crazy. Now, she's got her last boyfriend, so we wanted to go let her Grandpa know. Then, out of nowhere, Bonny decided to leave her bouquet at her Grandpa's headstone...and I burst into tears!! I'm a sucker for emotion!!
