Engagement Session at Glencairn Gardens
/When I saw the Samantha's proposal photos on Facebook, I was one happy woman! I've known this lady since we were in the third grade. In fact, my first memory of Sam was how she blew everyone away singing a song from The Little Mermaid on stage at our school talent show. She's one talented woman!
Her and Mike met playing pool. Sam runs a pool league. Mike is an amazing player. The two figured out that they were meant for each other and before you know it, Mike got a ring, made sure there was a photographer present and popped the question in front of tons of their friends in Vegas while on a trip for a pool tournament. It couldn't have been more perfect.
I was kind of caught by surprise when they told me they wanted to go grab lunch and talk wedding photography. I LOVE photographing friends, but I never expect them to hire me just because they know me. It's a special day and I encourage everyone to find vendors that fit their style. But they said they knew from day one who they were going with. Blush.
For their engagement session, we knew we wanted pretty and old. Those two things are perfect for them, because Samantha deals in antiques and vintage items and estate sales and auctions. Her business, Treasure Junkies, keeps her constantly on the hunt for things that are both pretty and old. So we decided on Glencairn Gardens for the first part and we hunted down some abandoned buildings and old fields for the second half. It was a ton of fun and we made some pure magic! Check out some of my favs!
