Newborn Baby Luke at Home in Matthews

Cassandra and Joe went and had themselves a beautiful, healthy baby boy. You may remember their beautiful wedding last August, but if not, feel free to take a peepsie before you check out their bundle of joy!

Luke is just the sweetest thing I’ve gotten my hands on in quite awhile, let alone in front of my camera!! When Cassandra called about photographing her sweet new baby, I was super nervous and made it super clear that this isn’t my forte and that I can’t promise I’d rock it but I’d love the opportunity to try. We discussed what I would do and what my approach would be and settled on a date. Of course, it was raining and storming that day and the lighting just wouldn’t cooperate so we waited until the next available bright sunny day. That means Luke was just a bit bigger than the average newborn because he was a good two weeks old by the time we did these. Being two weeks old also meant he wasn’t very sleepy. He wanted mama more than anything so we just took advantage of him being awake and got the whole family outdoors for a bit.

These are my favorites and I’m super proud to say that one of Cassandra’s friends called shortly after I delivered the gallery and booked a session with me as well for her sweet baby! Be on the lookout for even more!
