Proposal at Fahrenheit

When Lauren of Perfect Proposals contacted me about an upcoming proposal, I was ecstatic to jump on it. I absolutely LOVE candid proposals. I'm a sucker for real emotion. You'll often catch me shedding a couple tears, or you can hear my breath hesitate as I hold them back. I thrive off the energy of moments like these. 

Lauren put me in touch with Zach and we coordinated the perfect way to capture his proposal to long term girlfriend and mother of his two daughters, Samantha. Since he was heading out for deployment (hoorah to another serviceman! I'm always honored to photograph service members and their families. Little known fact...my mother, father, uncle, grandfather AND husband all served.), he wanted to pop the question and ensure her hand before hopping that long flight. 

I could tell Samantha knew something was up. She wasn't feeling well after all, and Zach brought her out to a fancy rooftop bar for a cocktail before heading out for a romantic dinner. Any woman would have a "feeling". So when she saw me with my camera, I had to pretend I was sightseeing and started taking photos of the buildings. As soon as Zach proposed, she looked at me with that "I knew it!" grin. It was adorable! Check out some of these awesome sunset, rooftop proposal photos!
